Red Bellied Parrot, Sam, Double Yellow Headed Amazon, Sierra & Black Headed Caique, Daisy Jane
Last night & this morning i recorded some videos with my new camera. It is not perfect or anything i don't know how to edit, sometimes I didn't know how to gauge my distance very well =) I still had fun though and hope they are enjoyable. I am still decorating the room they are in and just placed Sam in his new cage the night before. Next time i will show Daisy Jane more she has been a little moody lately.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5bzq4Zsib8"]DSCN0529 - YouTube[/ame] In this video Sam Says: Play Peek a boo, I see you, Sammy Peek a boo, Where's Sam?, Where are you?, Where's Samuel?, Good birdie

I didn't get it this time but he also says Where's the little birdie? Where's Erin? Where's you? Sierra will sometimes interact with us, i will try to get it on video another time.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_4jObWhA9Y"]DSCN0522 - YouTube[/ame] Getting treats, a little bit of talking and waving. Sierra says Good girrrrl, Hi Sierra, Good bird, Sam says, Erin, what are you doing, (and I think) can i get a treat or treat, Like a treat, treat.

DSCN0529 - YouTube Sierra calls the Kitty & Sam says "Meow". Sierra is also doing the grudge noise, she can drag her name saying grudge in this video is is doing her nickname "erra" She also says, whatch doing, Sam says Hey Sam. Sorry this is a new camera not used to it yet, also my bird room is under a bit of redecorating. =)

Thank You both! I am glad you liked them. Sierra is actually my Moms favorite too. Sierra was rather misunderstood when i got her, she had been hit with sticks. Looking back, it is hard to believe she is the same bird i took in 7 years ago. I was telling my Mom last night i wish had a video of how she used to be, just so i could compare.

thats horrible :( i know amazons can be moody, but thats no reason to hit her with a stick (if there ever is a reason to, people astound me!)
well she looks to be a happy bird now and it definitely shows she's in a much better place :D

Sierra was 11 months old when got her. It only took a few months to do all the damage. She was around 5 years old before she stopped being so worried about her backside. She would never let someone walk behind her.

When Sierra was brought to my house. My Mom asked the person who brought her, if you can't get her out of the cage, then how do you hold her? They said well you open the door and when she comes out you knock her to the floor. Just as they said that, Sierra came out and the person struck her with the stick, causing her to lose blood feathers. I was freaking out inside because Sierra was bleeding. I felt connection with Sierra but had i not i would have taken her no matter what.

I took a lot of bites from Sierra but every single one was worth it.

Red Belly Parrot :)
Oh Parrotdise that is horrible! She is an amazing bird I wouldn't believe one from those circumstances would trust humans again!

I do really appreciate the videos! I have showed them all to my family to help us decide and I went to the petstore to see that little red belly again. This time I had them get him out they did so with a towel he never tried to bite did nip at the towel. He is very nervous but will listen and come close but not let you touch him. I think I have fallen in love. I bought a cage and I think I've made up my mind! I just can't get his little expression out of my mind!!even though amazon breeders are contacting me back I'm still drawn to him :)

Going to put a cage together and get my little guy home!!! So very excited!
