Thanks, besides taking her out to a sit down restaurant, the kind with actual table cloths and cloth napkins folded up to look like swans, I bought her a plane ticket to St. Thomas Virgin Islands so that she can go down and see her family since she hasn't been down their in a couple of years. I'll stay home and care for the babies

OOOOOoooooops, I made a major boo boo. It appears that my addition is a might off. My wife has quickly informed me that it's our 39 wedding anniversary. I asked if she was sure and she asked "your kidding right" I replied, no because it felt like our 40'th anniversary. Well, I knew as I was saying that little nugget I had just made a bigger mistake, but common sense and good judgement had failed me in a time of need, but old age stepped in to take their place.
Where I was hoping to get lucky tomorrow night, I'm going to be lucky just to stay off the couch. Fortunately, the cake she ordered arrived at the bakers and they called, which interrupted the conversation so that let me off the hook for the time being. So we have been BLISSFULLY married for 39 years.

Now THAT is funny! But hey, at least you remembered. Gary and I are a few years ahead of you. I used a calculator after your oops. It will be 42 years in November for us. We were babies when we married, and it's a miracle we are still married. Some years we have both forgotten the anniversary until after it's passed. I'm worse than he is as far as remembering.
