I got a blood test today at 11:30am to check my iron levels as I've had anemia before during my last pregnancy and required a transfusion.

It is past 3:30pm now and since 12:30pm I've been feeling nauseous, dizzy and faint. Is it normal for this to happen this long after a blood test? (3 vials were taken) or should i contact my GP?

Contact your gp. You wouldn't want to find out later that it WAS something to be concerned about. I doubt the blood test is responsible (IMO 3 vials isn't much, they take heaps more when you donate blood - but if you are small, or anaemic, or have something else going on, maybe it could affect you), but if you are pregnant there might be other causes. Obviously nobody can tell you that it's nothing to worry about without examining you and being a doctor.

Otherwise, have you had plenty to drink? Eaten lunch? If not, get some fluids into you and have something to eat.

Mmm good points. Yes I've eaten and drank water.

I called the GP helpline (and also mentioned my worsening abdominal pain) and they advised that i go to the ER as soon as possible. But my daughter is going to bed shortly so its not really an option. Fun times...

You should do as advised, but if you can't get somebody to sit with her or take her along, at least ring up the locum service and get a doctor to make a home visit. You really can't ignore this, if it's getting worse.

Hospital said to go in in the morning. But if it gets worse to go in tonight, however they can't do much until the morning. So ill go in tomorrow morning.

They said they would want to do an ultrasound of my appendix etc. but they don't do ultrasounds until later in the morning. Fingers crossed i don't have appendicitis.
