Stop guys, all your kind words will go to my head. I love the extraordinary friends I've met on this forum. You know who you are. Terry is such a sweetheart and she was having a lousy week, I wanted to hug her, but I couldn't reach her so I sent her a care package. Care packages are as much fun to send as they are to receive. Besides, I had an ulterior motive, maybe Auntie Terry won't be too shocked when her next care package contains an obnoxious cockatoo, with his snuggle swing under one wing and his guitar under the other. I know she'd let the little brat in.

Thanks for the group hug, Wendy! Another amazing friend I met here.

Stephen, is there something you want to tell us? Do you need a care package? I bet we could arrange it. Oh Wow, now I want to design a custom swing for Bixby.

The swings are super easy, and renewable. Our new moderator, Jen helped with the design for Talli and Xander's swings by answering a few questions about fleece toys for me. I'll try to post the instructions in a bit. I'm not the video artist a lot of you are, YET.

Jumping in for the group hug... late, but still jumping in

I can just imagine Terry's day... the knock at the door... look out, no one there... hmm, dang kids... knock again, look out, still no one there.... really bleepin dang kids, gonna go have a talk with their mother across the street... third time there is a knock, Terry swings the door open with a broom in hand ready to chase the kids down the street... still no one but the bite on her toe, she looks down and there stands Popeye squawking and he drops his guitar and bites her toe again for missing him the first two times... With the look of, are you gonna let a fella in or what!???

If Popeye makes it safely there, let me know what route he takes so I can prepare Folger's travel bag... With Tor gone for a couple days, its the perfect chance for him to have such an adventure!!!! :11:

Allee, you have such a big heart.
That sounds like something I'd like to do, one of my favorite things is helping people feel better when they're feeling down.
I won't ask for a care package but I'll keep an eye out for any DIY posts- I love crafting and building, but I haven't found any luck with making perches or toys yet. Just things for outside the cage. It's a wonderful talent to have.

If you can tie a knot, you can make the fleece preening toys and swing perches... literally! I've gotten suckered into making the swings for the shelter now too. All you need is a hoop or metal ring for the base and literally just cut and tie the fleece strips around the ring. Push them together constantly to make it tight so the fleece does not slide around, but that's about it.... i'm not terribly crafty, if I can make them, anyone with all their fingers can (probably even someone missing a few)... oh, that's a bad joke...
