So I had my nails done yesterday. They needed to be brightened up. It is starting to get colder here and I thought I needed a bright new colour to help keep the thought of summer alive.

Hubby was like "you will glow in the dark with that colour" but I like it. :D

I love it! What does Bundii think about it? Is she interested in the new toys on Mommy's hands?

Thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately Bundii hates my hands anyways. Does not matter what colour is on the end of them. It is something that unfortunately I think happened when she was younger. We are working very hard to over come the fear of hands but it is a *very* slow road. She is starting to get used to hubby's hands but you would swear that my hands are the devil.

That said if I have food in my hands then all fair and they are perfectly fine to touch if you are a green bird. No food, no hands. This is Bundii's preferred method.

Hmmm...maybe broccoli or carrot colored polish next time?
Oh, but then Bundii may think your hands ARE the food...nevermind:)

Bless her heart, makes you shudder to think what happened to her before to make her feel that way:(

Terry, definitely the carrot colour as this is Bundii's favourite food. Anything carrot related and she is there.

I love the colour! It goes beautifully with Bundii's beak!

Amanda, why don't you teach Bundii to enjoy peanut butter? Offer her just a tiny smear on your fingertip. Once she gets used to it, you can put tiny smears on all your fingers and encourage her to clamber over your hands to get them. This is the way I tamed my petshop mice when they first arrived and it worked beautifully. It has also helped with the Beakies and Dommie: they all love to lick peanut butter off Mummy's fingers and it's a great way to lure or distract them when I want them to do something else. Might be worth a try to get Bundii used to your hands in a happy way? :)

Trish, that is a great idea! I am going to try that myself with Darwin and see if it works.
And Amanda, I can't wait to see your orange nails next time:)

Trish, Bundii loves peanut butter already. I will give it a try on the weekend when I have plenty of time to take it slow. Thanks for the idea. Many squawks to the Beaks and Dommie.

Very pretty!!! I wish I could grow nice nails but alas, I'm too rough on my hands ;)

Michelle, I have a little secret to admit. Although they are my real nails, I get acrylic put over the top to prevent them breaking. So not completely my own, but the closest I can get. :)

I love your nails! I wish I had nails like that! Mine are paper thin and will sometimes rip down near the quick if I can get them to grow past the edge of my fingertips :( yours are lovely.

So I love having my nails done. I went to the beauty place yesterday and these are the nails that I got.

I have to say these are my favourite yet. I just love this colour combination. :)

Amanda, your nails look amazing! Looks almost like stained glass, so gorgeous. How on earth can you get anything done? If my nails looked like that, I would just stare at them all day:)

Thanks Terry. Is it surprising, the only thing that I cannot do is open a can of soft drink. This claims most of my nails. :(

Thanks Julie. These colours are by far my favourite. They are also the ones that I am going to feature in our new house. New post to come on that one. :)
