Isn't it about time for another topic just for fun? :)

The other day I had a comment on my username, and it made me think that it would be fun to see how others got their names too. Unless of course you'd like to remain mysterious ...:14:

I'll start... RavensGryf. My Bronze Winged Pionus is named Raven. I like the name, and I'm intrigued by the bird called a Raven. Gryffin was the name of a beautiful bird I used to have. I absolutely love this mythological creature... spelled Griffin, Griffon, Gryphon, etc. A giant sized beast with the body of a lion, the head, forelegs and wings of an eagle, and ears of a horse. They are a symbol of wisdom and strength and are guardians of valuable treasure.

I will soon use this name again for my Ruppell's Parrot coming home shortly :D, but spelled Griffin. NOT to be confused by the "Family Guy" Griffin's lol :02:

Your turn :)

I was actually wondering what your username meant!! :)

I guess mine is boring.. Back in school when i used to write notes to my friends, me and my friend used to always sign with our name and an ' xo ' after it - Kiss and hug :10: My full name is Tabitha but no one ever calls me that.. It has just always been Tab!

So for many years, every time i have made an account, it has just been tab_xo ! Luckily it is never usually taken as well, so that makes things easy ;)

I used to work at Rainbow Bible Ranch in Stugis, South Dakota as a team leader. One of the dorms there is named "Sliver Sage" after the plant that grows on the Dakota prairies. I loved the plant and loved the name, and have had it in my head ever since. I hope to one day open "Silver Sage Aviaries" =D

Such a good idea for a thread. Mine is prsgirl because I started playing guitar when I was 13 and I was drawn to prs guitars firstly because of their birds in flight inlay work on the fretboard and when I actually played one the feel and tone of the instrument. It was at that time my aim in life to own one of those beautiful works of art and today I do :). I would visit a locally music stores and play only prs guitars and after a while the owner came up with a nickname for me prsgirl lol and that's the story behind my name :)

While i still find it interesting,i don't do anything with it.
So it became pretty much my game/forum name.

Mine is pretty self explanatory:) When I signed up here, I was desperate for information because my mom's bird had just had his stroke and I didn't take any time to think up a more clever name. I was actually surprised it was not taken, given how common of a bird name Kiwi is.

Oh, sad! :( It's a good name though Terri :)

Haha, LOLOL Richard is henpecked :)

Cool, I like that! I begged my mom for guitar lessons when I was 17. I played bass in a band with my boyfriend several years later, and he managed to get us gigs at clubs in Los Angeles. It was quite the experience! I'd be so nervous on stage that I'd forget the lines, but with all the guitar noise over it all (and in the same key anyway) it just blended right in with my bass, and no one noticed LOL! But as I got older and life went on, I did not continue playing. I completely forgot how LOL!!

But I really like it :) It's simple but catchy!

Mine is completely boring - my name and my favourite number..lol. I wish I had as much imagination as the rest of you!

Oh Terry, you are never boring! :)

I actually have two usernames that I use interchangibly. Sterling1113(this one) and then Latency, or if it's taken, LatencyKills.

Sterling was the name of my second cockatiel when I was a kid, also my favorite metal is Sterling Silver(where his name came from.) and when I was younger I read/heard that "1113" was another way people would mark "666"(Yeah I have no idea either.) so I used that.

Latency is sort of "nerd talk", it basically means Lag. So when used in the handle "LatencyKills" every now and again I find someone who understand it and appreciates my humor. Especially if it's in some type of MMO game. (LatencyKills = Lag Kills.) It's also my dad's retired username from the days of EQ2 and Ultima Online. So now I use it. :)

My username was made up by my mother since this was her account originally. It doesn't mean anything, "Frumpydumple" is just a random word really. It sounds somewhat funny though.
