So I bought a new console/buffet table for my entrance at home. It required taking down things that were hanging on wall and filling the holes. I went to just dab the filled spots with paint (it is fairly fresh, just a few years old) but I saw it had faded a bit. It is just a very small wall so I quickly painted that one wall.

I have all the windows open and Gilbert seems perfectly fine but now I am "worried" because I exposed him to paint smell. It was just a few strokes of the roller but still...

Thankfully it is a beautiful night with crisp air and I opened ALL the windows.

Just wanted to "vent" that I guess! I wasn't even thinking about paint safety for a couple dabs of paint and now I am mad at myself. :/

It's okay Patti :). The modern paints these days are made with very low VOC's and are pretty non-toxic. Call Home Depot or Lowe's or even search the internet for some peace of mind on this :).

Thank you!! I just got this crazy worry going on late last night and couldn't let it go.

Back in the day, when I first had Georgie, I hadn't even known paint was "bad" and I painted my whole condo with Georgie in it and she was fine.

The windows are still open and it smells pretty fresh and Gilbert is his usual self.
