I'm usually not a big one for reading/leaving reviews for products on websites, though a friend posted a link to a review about a product on Amazon, on another bird group I visit and while the review is a couple of years old, it's been quite a while since I have laughed as hard.....it was tastefully written and clearly Amazon's people found no problems with it, but some around here might might consider it borderline, so I leave it to the judgement & discretion of our reviewing monitors, whether the post hits member viewing.

I will add these caveats, best to read sitting down, put your glass or cup down and safely out of the way and make sure you have thoroughly swallowed anything you may be eating or munching on.

Now, go to Amazon's customer reviews & look through them until you locate one for "Veet for Men..."

I am sure glad and heeded your warning about making sure there was NO food or drink in my mouth prior to reading this.

Are you sure you don't know WHO wrote that review, Walt? :21:

I'll make it easier for our members to find it....here's the link.

The review itself is hard to miss. :54:

I'm not sure which review in particular you all are referring to, but I found a good many of them rather amusing:D In particular the numerous men who decided to pull the oldest predictor of bad results to follow that no man ever seems to learn from- NOT to read the directions before using the product:20:

No Wendy I honestly don't, but I can empathize with the guy because I have an investment in a hair/nail/tanning salon & we've gotten some extremely unique sounds emanating from our waxing rooms on occasions, especially first time guys getting full Brazilians.....

I was there one time a guy in his 40s came in to get a wax for his wife's birthday...she'd brought him in & was listening, as was everybody except maybe those under blowers, to his blow-by-blow waxing.....apparently she'd asked him & he'd to a full body wax...she knew, but he had no idea what he'd agreed to.....when he came back into the reception area, he was sweating like it was 100° in the shop, though it's always kept at 68°, and made the comment that he would finish the rest of the process but thought he'd better wait at least a week and finish up with the rest at the rate one appendage at a time.

I saw that post early this morning, shortly before I posted it here & the warnings were specifically for your benefit, knowing your history with similar reads, but what surprised me was that I'd not heard about it before, given my involvement with the salon & the talk that goes on there.....

OMMMMMGGGG [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Thanks for the much needed laugh!!

I have to admit, I tried Veet on my legs many years ago- and I thought my leg was surely going to fall off that's how bad it burned [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] I'm not sure why anyone would try it elsewhere....

OMG! I could not stop laughing. My husband went through something similar ( he is going to kill me for telling) My son uses Castille Pure Liquid Soap. My husband asked to use it, no problem...but he was warned about using it on the nether regions...as it was Peppermint. Needless to say, he forgot about the warning, used it on his backside and almost jumped out of the shower. He turned on the cold water...just made it worse. I laughed til I cried.

Helena, you need to preface posts like that with warnings, I started to take a drink 'til I thought about what I might be reading & put the glass down first, but tell your husband he needs to be careful of solutions he does not fully understand.....maybe he'll better appreciate the things you ladies do to look better.....you just don't have to tell him the truth, that it's to look better around other women.....I learned a long time ago the we of the male gender delude ourselves when we think that all of that is for our benefit ! ! !

Thanks for the post.....

I have officially ruined my mascara with tears. My god.

I'm sorry I didn't add any disclaimers to my posts, but I'm sure there's at least one around here somewhere that protects the forum from any damages from reading the things posted and/or read here, though I am sorry about your mascara.....hope refreshing it doesn't cause you any undue concerns ! ! !

The post was by A.Chapelle, and it's hysterical. I've been in the beauty industry for many years, and I used to do brazilian waxing on both sexes, but it was always the men who would scream like banshees. I've has my shirt ripped by men grabbing it from the so-called excruciating pain from getting a wax "down there". The women were like "meh", no big deal. But the men would have to be babied, and it always took forever and I hated it. Needless to say, I don't provide that service anymore. Plus, there was no shortage of perverts getting aroused during the process.
I would say, keep reading the many, may reviews of this product. They are gold. Thanks weco for giving me a stomach ache from LMAO!
