Does anyone have any pet insurance for your feathered children? I want to get this particular insurance because it will only be about $15 a month for my lovebird. It covers a lot as well and will help save a lot of money especially if your on a budget.

I would like to hear about anyone who has pet insurance and who your insured with.

As far as I last knew, VPI did not cover birds. If they do now, I better check it out.

Not many pet insurance companies, and if VPI does indeed do birds now, I bet they're the only one. I have never know nor heard of anyone who has pet insurance for a bird. It was always something that was unavailable.

Edit: I just looked at the VPI website. It says to call for info about birds and exotics. I'll have to call during the weekdays. I hope this is a good option. It would be nice, as I've spent thousands on credit.

I have VPI for my GW. They have a plan that includes well visits and a plan for sick/emergency only. Since it brought the price up over $100 to add well, I just did the sick/emergency visits. Fortunately, we have not needed to use it. But I figure, if something goes wrong it is going to be very expensive so better safe than sorry.
