Computer Problems

lately, I have been experiencing Problems with my computer. At times it freezes, other times I will write something and when I save it will not save all what I have written. also lately when I write a post and I preview it there with be a section of the post doubled up or completely missing and at other times it a paragraph will be superimposed over another.

I'm also not that impressed with windows 8. I will be offline for a little while due to the computer getting a service.

Wow - I thought it was windows 7 that was a problem. I hope things get fixed for you soon we are missing your postings.

My daughter just got a new laptop with Windows 8 and she is having lots of problems as well. Hopefully they come up with a fix for it.

I started running Win 8 when it first came out. It has a LOT of updates to it. Miss one and it becomes a pain to deal with. There is a add on you can get so it looks like the old windows with start button. Guess I have been lucky I have not had any issues. But I do boot mine once a day at least and have auto update checked.

The new Windows-10 is supposed to be out in the spring & those who have registered their 8.0 and/or their 8.1 versions are purportedly going to be eligible for a new version of W-10, not an upgrade, so you might want to register your W-8/8.1 versions, if you haven't already.....

I currently have Windows 7 on my PC and something very ancient on a 7 year old laptop - both have proven robust. Dreading whatever comes down the pike from Microsoft..... makes me strongly consider the jump to Apple. Currently have an iPhone and use an iPad for some work functions. Love them, but not a fanboy by any means.

None of the minutiae of computer science is remotely interesting to me; I regard them simply as appliances and wish for functionality and reliability above all!
