I'm surprised there's so little of threads like these! I'm new here so I'm not quite sure where to post this, decided I'd just go with off-topic (though my drawing is of a bird!)
I guess feel free to post your own drawings & artwork, if you'd like, as well?

Drawing I've done of my new cinnamon GC conure (and first bird), Ollie! Also, the first time I've drawn a bird.

(Sorry for the bars in the way, I've only had him one day so far, and he's pretty shy!)
If I'm feeling up to it, post your birds and I might draw them!

Nice pic, but in the several years I've been around here, members have posted copies of their efforts, but don't recall anyone interested in a thread of member's efforts, but sounds like a good project for someone more artsy inclined than me.....

Ollieconure, if I'd set out to draw a conure, I'd've been bogged down trying to draw each feather individually. I LOVE the way you've captured the look and personality of the bird with just a few strokes and some skilfully applied watercolour. That's amazing! Got any more pics for us to look at??? Do post them - I think everyone enjoys good art when they get the chance to see it.

I am always trying to draw a picture of Lilo but there are so many individual patterns and feathers on her chest, you did that really well! Birds are a hard one to draw!

I've been drawing a lot of Rio styled parrots lately (I'm sure we all know that movie!) and recently got my drawing tablet to work again. Here's what I made this week:

Wow, huge thanks to all who replied! Roanoke, that's a really cute drawing, by the way! I can never say I was a big fan of movie, but that drawing is very adorable. I find drawing all the indiviual feathers hard, and it's not like I was going for hyper realism, so it is pretty easy to just lay down some flat colours. Unfortunately, I don't have many other drawings of birds (always had a problem drawing them, and thus, never really did.) I did make a cheesy little pixel of a conure a while back, though it isn't that great-

Those feather paintings are pretty cool, once Oliver drops some big enough feathers, I'll totally have to try that.

Oliver is a cutie.

I did a pen and watercolour of a chicken when I was doing drawing lessons, but I don't know where it is. I haven't tried any other birds (yet, maybe one day)

Those feather paintings are pretty cool, once Oliver drops some big enough feathers, I'll totally have to try that.

I'm going to start trying that too!! Since I have some connections to the Zoo/Bird department I was thinking of asking if they could help supply me with exotic bird feathers --flamingo, hornbills, pheasants, ect-- sometime this week or next week while I'm on break.

The hard part for me is that I'll be having to paint it straight off the back with no sketching :11::11:.
