It's not crafts or refinishing, but boy has organization become my new favorite artistic medium! Hubby getting me a label maker for Christmas hasn't helped with my new addiction. Getting serious about (reasonable) minimalism has also helped in making things tidy, beautiful and functional!

Our entryway with all our jackets, shoes, scarves, hats, umbrellas, my purse, reusable shopping bags ext... (things you need by the front door)

Hubbies desk (used to be a shared desk before he took it over, thus it still has girly things on it))!

Pantry (a place for each and every one of our constantly used ingredients and no room for things that never get used):

Hubbies junk food stash:

This cabinet has been a black hole of clutter since we bought it. Finally have it cleared out and now have my very own desk without actually having to purchase a desk (for a while I was 'banished' to the coffee table. In retribution, I have taken the household stapler and tape dispenser for MY desk muahahaha!

Finally, since we don't have an actual closet, we have this thing instead. It used to be shamefully overrun with clothes, but now easily holds my clothes and hubbies work clothes (he commandeered the dresser for his casual clothes). Storage bins on the side are only half full and contain ALL our seasonal clothes. I cannot describe how much I love not having tons of clothes any more:

Finally, my favorite project was laying out my fall/winter and spring/summer clothes in one, cohesive document to refer back to. I got the idea off polyvore for the layout. While time consuming, it makes it SO much easier to see what you have, what works together and how much you'll use this way and super easy to just get rid of anything that didn't make it into your 'capsule' wardrobe. I did keep one heavy winter coat, a cocktail dress, 2 work out outfits+running shoes, a bathing suit and my wedding dress that are not on these, but this is essentially EVERYTHING I own. I could quite literally pack 2 seasons worth of clothes and then some in a small suitcase.

(If anyone is interested in doing this with their closet, google project 333 and how to create a capsule wardrobe)

No, we don't have a dog (or cat). Just Kiwi, a newt and a ancient leopard gecko. Curious though, what lead you to that conclusion by our pantry that we aren't dog owners lol?

I love boots too, if only they ever fit me properly lol. It's very rare to ever find a pair that fit right, so unless they are too worn to wear, I hang on to them. Your husband is a junk food junkie too? I tell you, we have to figure out what to do about these men:54:

So your getting hooked too;) And no, the orchid is not real, but I've always really liked it anyways:)

Remember, we used to live in northern Arizona, and despite common misconceptions about the whole state being one big desert, we had the same kind of weather your getting almost every year. As mentioned above though, boots rarely fit, so I keep them till they wear out. Though, I must say I have been beyond shocked at the winter gear I see here in Portland. It's like 42 and drizzling and while you probably want a sweatshirt or coat, people are in below the knee down puffer jackets bundled to the hilt! It's hilarious.

No he isn't just a junk food junkie he is a 12 yr old in a 6'3" 230 lb body he loves sugar bomb cereals, chocolate milk, HATES almost all veggies and most times won't eat fruit unless I put it in his face "here eat this!"

We have been together 20 years and it used to drive me insane trying to tweek recipes for him to eat it, now I just make our meals separately. I still have to buy and cook meat but I have gotten him to cut back on his meat consumption by quite a bit thankfully.

I wear a size 5 shoe I can sometimes go to a 6 in boots but finding shoes has always been an issue for me as well. Why can't my feet be that standard 8 where you have tons of choices!:(

Produce anywhere near the ground, on the counter, or in a cabinet is not safe in this house from my dog! We keep everything in or on top of the fridge, otherwise that nose will find it and she will destroy it  my vet suggested frozen whole veggies for teething when she used to be a puppy, and she still LOVES fresh produce.

I find it so much easier to have a visual inventory of things, so I did a visual layout of my kitchen (items for food prep, cooking, baking, serving ext...). I find this kind of layout helps me to not purchase new/unecessary items because I can SEE, all laid out, just how much I already have (and what I have. For example, do I *need* 3 spatulas? No. So I won't buy any more because I know I already have one).
