I'm taking on a "60 for 60" challenge. For 60 days I will read for 60 minutes per day in my field; that would be parrots ;) of course I have a few books in my stack, but does anyone have any suggestions? Primarily parrot books, but why not throw in any book you have read that has changed your life or that you think everyone should read? I would appreciate your suggestions :)

A forum member shared this book with me a couple years ago, and on the subject of parrots, I found it to be a very insightful read.

I really liked My Parrot, My Friend by Bonnie Munroe Doane. I read it the year it came out (sometime in the '90s) but it was revolutionary to what most advice about living with parrots went at the time, and it gave me a lot of ah-ha and I-agree moments.

The parrot who thought she was a dog- by Nancy Ellis-Bell: a lovely read about a woman who takes in a one footed macaw (true story)

Great thread idea, Dani! I'm looking forward to reading some of the suggested books or all of them!
