Thank you for fixing that...

That would actually be a hard shot to get even using two planes... and there'd be a significant risk of collision with the tail of the aircraft i would think, unless it was photoshopped.

Re: Skydiving Practical Jokes... !

I actually know someone who did something similar to that, just to freak out his passenger. (He didn't know it, but the other guy was also a pilot.)

Picture this: Fully loaded 4 seater cessna.

When they got to a certain spot, the pilot gears up, puts it on autopilot, and without saying a word, just opens the door, and jumped.

The front seat passenger then turns to the back seat passengers and says "Okay, that was weird, do either one of you know how to fly this thing?!"

At which point they both (naturally) go into total freak out, OMG! We're gonna die mode...

Cruel. Also quite Illegal. Don't tell the FAA. But quite possibly the most effective prank you can play on someone in an aircraft.

Re: Skydiving Practical Jokes... !

A buddy of mine got me good once...

I only had about 50 or 60 jumps at the time. And just as I stepped out the door, he tried to warn me about a problem with my chute, a split second too late!!! "WAIT! DUDE, CHECK YOUR..." That's all I heard.

Needless to say, I was completely paranoid on the way down...

What did he say... ?! A problem with my what?! I thought I checked everything before I got on the plane...

CRAP! Better prepare for a cutaway...

(There was nothing wrong with it, and he passed me in a head down speed dive, laughing... so, there's a clue!)

Did I mention we're all a bunch of idiots?!

That was priceless! Every aspect of aviation is fair game for the most macabre and foul humor possible! OTOH the FAA is utterly devoid of humor.

Yep. There are a few of my jumps that were never logged, that cameras were forbidden on. The FAA would NOT be amused...

Ever sat on the end of the wing when the pilot of a utility aircraft with a reinforced wing spar, does a barrel roll?! Turns the wing into a high speed catapult... YOU'RE THE THING BEING SHOT FROM THE CATAPULT...

Didn't log it. Didn't get it on video. So it NEVER happened..

My air speed indicator read 255.6 when it didn't happen... then vertical head down speed dive from 18,000 ft down to 5,000 in 22 seconds!

BEST JUMP (N)EVER!

We dreamed it up... errr... uuumm... too bad we could never try it because having someone unharnessed walking on the wing while the plane is doing aerobatics would be totally illegal, dangerous, and irresponsible....

Good thing there are also a few smart people on the DZ, eh?!
