I'm Back, been a rough summer

Hi Everyone, Been a while since I have been on here, a few months anyway. First spent 3 weeks in England for daughters wedding, then home for 2 weeks before heading down to Kourou, French Guiana in south America, which is the area of the space port launch system. Company sent me down there for a month to help out on the Ariane rockets.

Not exactly a fun place as there is someone robbed everyday in that town. Did get a chance to wander around, the birds down there are amazing. Seen quite a few Black headed Caiques. Also seen some freaky looking birds, like one ( I don't know exactly what they call it, but looked like his head was way too big for his body, little thing with a long pointed beak. (LOL).....and a big head! Not a parrot of course. Actually seen a few Green Aracari's , man they are beautiful birds.

Then came home and after a couple weeks here, was hit broad sided and broke my hip, and left foot. Walking was not an option for a few weeks.

My poor birds didn't get much daddy time there for a while, they were boarded for nearly a month. But never the less they enjoy the time now and won't let go of their daddy again...They have to take turns though. They all play nice but fight over daddy....lol.

Oh wow! That must've been quite the adventure. I'm terribly sorry to hear about your hip and foot, that's not exactly a great welcome home gift for anyone [emoji20] Hopefully your fids can give you lots of love to make up for it. We've missed you here!

Oh it was great, it's an interesting country down in south America, was hot as heck. Food ok, and people are great. Technology at the launch site was amazing. Makes me wonder if NASA will ever catch back up. Lots of fun though.

My daughter was married in the same church that Henry the 6th, 7th and 8th was married in...the church is 900 years old in Rye England. And Around the corner from Jonny Depp's English home get away. He keeps and collects some weird things he dose. You can see into the living room from sidewalk and his guitars are all next to the wall on one side.

Yeah coming home here I got hit broad sided by a texting driver broke left foot, and fractured right hip. Ouch!!! My birds sure missed their daddy.
Nice to be back on here, been so busy traveling for government contract jobs... or hire my experience out working on rockets, nuclear, or Aircrafts. Now I get some needed time off to heal till January or February.

Ouch! My dad was hit by a texting driver from behind, she missed the fact that traffic ahead of her had stopped. If he hadn't noticed her coming up on him and cranked the wheel to the side, he probably would have lost his legs to the damage of him hitting the car in front of him; his car was crumpled like a can as it was! Terrifying how people think that is ok! I'm so glad you made it, and I'm so sorry to hear about all that pain!

Welcome back! Great times, but nasty hurt! I am glad you are healing!

Thanks, sorry to here about your dad. And your right, people do think it's ok to text while driving. Nothing against texting, just not while you drive. They are proposing a law, that if your caught texting and riving you can lose your device. Be posted on an alert site that you have a texting and driving charge, and all companies of these devices text phones and smart phones will be required to check that before you can get a phone. Can be any number of months if the judge implies. State Motor vehicle licensing can take your license after so many violations and take away your vehicle if it involves an accident and not beable to drive for up tp any given amount of months.

This is a proposal by lawmakers, but sitting on piles of other proposed bills in congress. They want to make it equal or worse than getting a drunk driving charge. Beware, Insurance companies are very powerful and are pushing it.

Glad to hear you had a great adventure, Michael, but sorry to learn of your accident. Hope you continue to heal without lasting discomfort.

It was an awesome adventure Scott, South America is very Unique in the type of birds around. Yeah unfortunate for the accident, but heck I needed a Break...Well not this kind of break anyway. I have my birds to keep me company. They were boarded twice and miss their daddy. So it's make up time.
