It's supposed to be the dead of winter! Last week, believe it or not... it was 90+ degrees Fahrenheit!!! (over 32.2 Celsius). The forecast for the coming week looks the same for some of the days.

The past few days have been nice Spring weather, which I like, but it's this insane heat, 90 degrees that's miserable in the winter. I am praying it doesn't indicate an extra hot summer. The summer is rough, it gets to be over 100 at times. The electric bill is insane because of the air conditioner, and when it's really hot, it can't even keep up!

It's only February! This is crazy!! :22_yikes:

I'm in NC but I frequent va daily, winter never really came in December it was weird! One minute it would get nippy and chilly, the next it would go up into the 50s and 60's I think even 70s'! It only dusted one time and it didn't even stick! Come on, no snow ugh... Finally in February we get snow! One minute it snows really cold in the 20s to 30s and the next minute wow it's in the 50s again! This weather is nuts!

Being from Florida (and absolutely DREADING the cold), I consider you lucky!! :D here in Florida it's been below 60 for almost a month now  a few days ago the high was 52 and the low was 30.... it's that's just in Central FL. It's for some people but for me, it feels like my body is freezing from inside out :D :p

Been seasonably chilly and rainy here in Portland. I would be so P/O'd if it was 90 degrees in February! I feel for you Julie, I really do:(. I hate the heat. I've heard California has had crazy weather all winter this year, so I hope the summer is more mild for you.

I hate to complain, too, because this warm weather in the middle of winter is nice, but it's strange, surreal to have suntan weather and the trees winter-bare. I actually like cold weather and look forward to winter. I, too, would love to know what's up with this weather!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
We're supposed to get a "conveyor belt" of El Niño rain in SoCal during March, Julie, and that should cool us a bit. But it has been really warm and will probably mess with parrot hormones! :(

I grew up and lived most of my life in South Florida, then moved to North Dakota for a few years. I grew to really like having all four seasons, even with the huge amount of snow and the extreme cold. These days I'm in SoCal as well, and the unseasonably warm weather is driving me batty.

Hopefully this erratic weather can mean an extra cool summer? I sure hope so! I like it 'cool' but not cold. I don't envy any of you who live in the extreme cold either!

Scott, I wonder if El Nino is still on it's way... I hate the rain too, but at least it means cooler weather! How hot has it gotten for you down there in North SD? Has it been as hot as here? I know you're normally a bit cooler than here year round.

Thanks for the links David ;).

I'm in east county, so a bit inland. It was 91F one day last week. Ick.

I'm with Oowl, the weather we are having is surreal. Mid February, naked trees, blue skies and sunny days. People are mowing their lawns on Valentine's Day. My lawn work is waiting until tomorrow.
