So , today I was out in the "woods" relocating goper tortoise. I dig them up and biologist relocate them to an area that is out of the construction limits. This was a power line right of way and they where putting up new poles. Long story short, I was working near a power line substation, lots of poles. The quaker.parrots loves these areas for nest sites, usually many large nest and lots of nest and defenoisy quakers. I wnd it from the inside. atched a flock of crows move in and start to try and "break" into the the nest to rob/eat the babies. The entrances are from the the bottom and the adults would.go into the the nest and defend it. The crows couldn't start the defense and would try to.get to the.babies by breaking through the top of the nest. I shot some videof but haven't figured out how to get it here. It's amazing to watch natural events and realize how they shape the way things are. The only nest building parrot has given a lot of thought into how to defend.it's nest.
