Recently, Slater has been hanging out on Talli's cage, and they have been getting closer and closer. For the last 2 nights, Slater has been preening Talli (under our very watchful eye) and I think it is the start of a beautiful friendship:)
Just had to share:)

I love it Terry, that is so cute :)! That is so sweet of Slater! I wonder if it will eventually become mutual preening?

An expected friendship for sure! What a sweet development, thank you for sharing.

Sweet! Terr, that pic has brought a smile to my face! I would not have expected that at all, not only because of the size difference, but also given Slater's status as your flock's resident bad boy! Hahahaha!

Thanks everyone, I am so excited at this turn of events. The only bird Talli has ever been close to was Pisces (WCP), and that was when Pisces would chase Talli, and Talli would jump into the floor and run across it screaming "HEY! HEY! HEY!"
I never imagined that he would allow anyone to get close to him after that, especially someone so much bigger than he is.
I am hoping that mutual preening will happen, but Talli seems quite happy being a receiver rather than a giver for now.
