I was just informed that the Moderators have posted a thread entitled this...

I can't post in the Moderators' territory, but...
I modestly and humbly and gratefully reply here.

Thank you, Mods and all, for all the joy I've encountered here. This place has energized and enhanced my relationship with my bird... ANNNND... his rival (my ol' man). Instead of bickering about the bird, the Mr. and I come here and joke about it.

I had a good, quick cry about this honor, and then got right back to posting.

There is magic in community. And this place is living witness.

I think that the fact that you guys enjoy parrots is the same reason you like having me around. A lot of people find me highly annoying, believe me, because I'm always making up words, mimicking people, playing with my food, and in general doing things parrots do... except for the whole poop thing: I don't go there.
So I was happy this morning and being extra adoring of the Rbird, which made him very suspicious... pretty sure he thought he was going to the vet. He's having his afternoon nap now, and probably having nightmares about it.
