Jardine's Parrot
So I thought I'd pop on and update everyone who remembers my painful problem awhile back. I had to find a new home for Jardy due to working nights and it was causing her (and the house) extreme frustration.

She is now with a wonderful lady from our local pet store who has birds of her own, rescues many animals, does wildlife rehabilitation, and she's willing to bring Jardy it whenever I ask so I can see her. She even said that when I'm in a better situation, she'll gladly give her back.

Jardy's apparently made friends with one of her Gala's which I'm happy for. She gives the lady attitude, which I expected. Jardy has a very strong personality (maybe thats why we clicked when she didn't like any other woman, cus I have strong personality too haha) and has NOOOOoooo problem letting you know it. But hopefully being around other birds will be good for her, and maybe they'll even teach her to play with toys @_@.

Anywho... my BF and I plan to move next year, and we're going to look for a 3bdrm place, turning the 3rd room into our office room for our computers, and it'll also be a space for my reptiles. Once we have a place, I plan to get jardy a nice big cage and take her back. My BF and I spend AAALLLL our time at our desks when we're not sleeping or working, so Jardy will be right next to us for all the hours we're home and awake. <3 I'm hoping that it will really ease her fustration with human contact that she was having when she was stuck in the living room (our current bedroom houses a california king sized bed and BOTH our desks, there is sadly no room for her :( )

I miss her so much, I feel like a part of me has been removed even though Jardy and I have only been together a year before I had to give her up, she's left such an impact on me and it's not something I'll ever forget, and I hope that over the rest of this year and next before our lease is up, that things go according to plan and Jardy can be in my arms once more.

I appreciated all the kind words you guys shared with me when I was trying to find her a home. It means a lot that complete strangers cared so much. I hope to live a long life with my wonderful durp birb starting next year.

I'm so glad to hear an update! I think it is wonderful that you found a temporary place for Jardy and that next year you will be reunited:)
