Ok so we all have our feathered friends that live with us, but what kinds of birds do you guys have out in the wild near you? I took this photo this morning on the way to work. There are 6 or 8 Rainbow Lorikeets that zoom up and down the street I walk down to get to the bus stop. This was one of two who chattered to me as I walked past! So post up pics of your neighborhood birds!

Great idea! I don't have any good ones right now, but... I'm on this!
Thanks!

Hmmm, we have the standard Great White North cross-section of smaller and mid-sized birds. The big guys are Turkey and Canada Honkers, which our Amazon has been know to call into the yard.

Just discovered this guy on my wooded property last night. He landed in a tree 30 feet from our house. He was Huge! And let me get within 10 feet to take this photo without batting an eye. I named him Wilson.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
We have a huge number of crows, some ravens, lots of humming birds, plenty of starlings, etc. The higher altitudes are home to turkey vultures, and many raptors, including ospreys, golden eagles, and a variety of hawks. For this reason I cannot ever have my birds outside unless in a very secured cage!
