Because curiousity gets me every time.....

Why is it that the actual name for a Jenday is spelled Jandaya, but we call them Jenday's?

When did the A turn to an E?

Was there an actual reason or was Jenday just easier to spell/pronounce?

English is probably the stupidest language to teach. So many,l if that, then this, but sometimes those and occasionally these. Chinese the hardest to learn, but English... I am glad I learned it as a child.
