The cost of having a bird

I have a fantastic opportunity to go to St. Lucia in March for 10 days w/my best friend on vacation. The total cost would be right around $600. However, I find myself not wanting to go b/c I'd rather spend that money on my bird. New toys, new playstands, new perches, etc.

Giving up 10 days of laying in a hammock on the beach sipping pina colada's for bird toys.

Anyone else ever experience a "problem" like this?

:18: :18: :18: I'm the exact same way, I could use some new clothes but I'd rather see the babies destorying a toy and tossing it all over the floor.

It's payday today so I have a trip planned to the parrot store a little drive away from where I live. I spent $200 last time on Popsicle a small parrot with small toys. Now I have Pepsi Gonna cost me a fortune. They have better stuff then I do and the eat better too.

Where is this St.Lucia? If its not in SA then you can spend all your money on the bird, but if its in SA then i wouldnt miss it for the world. Dont know if USA or UK or others also have a St.Lucia?

What is this word, the last time I had one of those was BEFORE my fids came to me. Must be 20+ years (yes I know I'm only 21ish :08: :18: ) I just couldn't leave my fids with anyone else.

St. Lucia is a small island in the Caribbean. Just Northwest of the Bahamas. A friend of mine goes to school there so we were thinking about going for a visit.

lol well i could be going to greece next year during springbreak but it costs 4,000$ and id just rather spend it on other stuff, plus greece isn't place that interests me right now, i mean it does soudn really cool but i just rather go without my school mainly... i mean who wnats teachers with you on what supposed to be a vacation.plus you have to take a whole language course on it before you go and a bunch of other junk. so i understand how your decision.
