Awaiting my baby blue front...
I had my first day back at work yesterday (Tuesday) after 4 weeks at home with pneumonia. Such a terrible day, haha! The Monday night I couldn't sleep, so I was up until about 4am. I was in a lot of pain as I have a really bad pulled muscle from coughing so much, so I took a bunch of painkillers. The problem is, I've lost so much weight that I probably count as a child now, but I took an adult dose... So when I got out of bed at 10am in the morning, I was dizzy, sick in the stomach and feeling like I was semi-intoxicated. I had a drink of water in the hopes that would help me feel better. Instead, about 10 minutes later I had my head in the toilet vomiting. I realised that perhaps the best way to deal with the problem was to get the medication out of my system, so, I continued drinking water in order to make myself vomit a couple more times. It worked, and I no longer felt dizzy - but still felt sick on the stomach. I assumed that would go away as the day wore on, so I went to work anyway. Once at work (at about 1.30pm) I decided to get something to eat so that I'd have energy and what-not. While waiting in line to buy lunch, a pigeon defecated on me. Awesome. Luckily I had a change of shirt. But lunch was a big mistake. At 2.45 while at work (I work in the city handing out free news papers to commuters), I was vomiting in a street bin. I felt so scum. A nice lady asked if I was okay and if she could get me anything, but I said I was okay thanks. Luckily (IMO) my workmates didn't see, so they didn't send me home - I REFUSED to go home sick after missing so much work already! So I powered through. On my break I decided to get a drink of coke, to give me sugar and energy. Also, while on break, some creepy 50 something year old guy came over and was openly staring at my legs. He started talking to me about the weather and I politely responded. Then he apologised for looking at me. I didn't know what to say/do so I just laughed awkwardly. Then he continued to look at my legs and talk about the weather and the fact that he was only in Melbourne for a short amount of time. He finally left me alone and said "Thanks for letting me look" and walked off. I just sat there thinking "How was I supposed to stop you? Scratch your eyes out?". Anyway.
Unfortunately I couldn't even keep the coke down, so at about 4 o'clock I excused myself to go to the toilet. I made it just in time to vomit in the loo. Went back to working. I was so dehydrated and my mouth was dry, so I had a tiny, tiny bit of water. Still couldn't keep it down. At 5.30 I was vomiting in the bin again, this time not only did my work mates notice, but a cop came over and asked if I was okay! I felt soooo scum, yet again. I bet he thought I was drunk. But anyway, my work mates told me I should go home, but at that point we only had 1.5hrs of work left, so I didn't bother. Shortly after this my boyfriend turned up (took an hour train ride just to come see me for a few minutes because he knew I was feeling miserable and sick). Well obviously I couldn't send him home after that so he came home with me. So the day ended well I guess lol.

Anyway, I worked again today and the pain killers had worn off so I was feeling fine. Did get rained on though, but it was warm so that was fine.

Just thought I'd let you all know about my nightmare day lol.
