My husband apparently had to take this test at the request of his boss for some kind of work 'team development' thing :rolleyes::rolleyes: and he sent the link to me. Thought my "personality type" rang fairly true to who I am and how I think. Apparently, being a female INTJ (architect) is quite rare, only around .8% of women! I always knew I was a bit... different than other women. My husband is another rare breed too- INTP (logician) which also rings true for how he is, coming in at around 3% of the population. No wonder we're such an odd couple lol. Wondering if there is a 'type' that more parrot owners are or if everyone is all over the board:

I’ve taken this a couple times lol

I usually come up as an INTP but I get the INTJ every once in awhile. I took it again just now with the link and it came up as an INTP again.

I took this once. It WAS fun. I was "isfp", or your basic space cadet artist... can be fun to hang with, but don't trust me to remember to pick you up at the airport. It's called the Myers-Briggs Test if you want to read more about it. Very popular in human relations/work settings.

I got ISFP-T β€œadventurer”. A lot of the description fits but some doesn’t. I don’t really consider myself an artist; I *can* craft a beautiful spreadsheet though! LOL and I’m horrible at planning for the future, but I do love to plan fun things and then re-plan them, and then alter those plans!

I have also taken this and other like personality profile tests. As with prior testing: ESTJ-A, executive

Haven't a clue how this will develop regarding whether there is a group /classification of personalities, but I likely just defined one of the outlier personalities.

Don't know what that means. I would be a hermit if I could get away with it. Does it mean I'm an even bigger A## than what I think I am?

The first extrovert to chime in! Based on what I'm seeing thus far and experience in general with other bird owners, I do think you may be an outlier personality type being an extrovert.

As a note, I see 3 ISFP types as of this comment... perhaps the start of a pattern of personality types most likely to gravitate towards parrot ownership?

Well that was fun! ISFJ-T, Defender. Most of it rang pretty true for me - and it was interesting to read why I don’t particularly love being a manager at work (which is absolutely true) :)

If my mother chimes in she’ll pop up as an extrovert too. She took it before when I made her years ago and I think she was the executive one.

I remember when you were in college and we did a longer version, you were INTJ....

I just did again and still ENTJ...

β€˜Commander’ figures :54:

I’m noticing a lot of feeling (F) people which might explain why I don’t always understand or get along with parrot people lol

Yep for extrovert... this one labels the ENTJ-A as Commander.... I remember the other times we tested waa the ENTJ, not sure if those tests defined personality as Commander. I just recall it being an unusual female personality.

Always interesting to take / read tho!

There are many types of assessments. Have taken the MMPI (old and lengthy personality inventory) a few times for work.

Currently I have none, but I have the capacity to adopt a minimum and maximum of two budgies - preferably a bonded pair or two males.
