Hello everyone.

I'm so sorry I've been away for so long, but things have been tough. I want to thank everyone for their kind words and messages of support, I have to admit you all brought a tear (or two) to my eyes. Although I didn't explain what I was upset about, I was so touched by all the heartfelt comments. SO THANKYOU! It really meant alot to me x

So what happened? My relationship of 9 years came to an unexpected end which resulted in having to find somewhere to live at very short notice and also come up with the finances to do so. My whole world changed overnight and I was struggling day to day. So the culmination of the ending of the relationship, losing my home, and finding vast sums of money from nowhere got too much for me!

I am sad to report that through this journey - the stress got to little Gerry and he began plucking again :( the high emotions and house move really unsettled him. You may remember he was growing in his wings and tail back nicely, so this has been a major setback :(

It's so strange how quickly life can change...
Everything that I thought was solid, seemingly wasn't. All that I knew suddenly was no more. My bubble got burst and I was suddenly alone. Initially I didn't even have the birds with me and had to keep going to the exes house everyday which was beyond awkward as I'm sure you can imagine. This also restricted the amount of out of cage time the birds were able to have and so they are going to need to gradually build up their flight muscles again.

Now I finally have my parrots and pigeons at my new place, but the cats remain with the ex. I thought it would make life easier for both the cats and the birds. It's been a strange journey and I feel like I'm getting to know myself again. I'm only now beginning to rebuild my relationship with the birds. I just hope they will forgive me for their little world being turned upside-down.

I hope to be getting back into the swing of things and will try to reply to all messages soon.

Once again, thankyou to everyone for your kindness xxxXxxx

It’s good to hear from you, and I’m glad you are back. I’m sure that the birds were a bit confused by the changes, but they will settle into a new normal now that they are with you. Sending positive thoughts your way as you move into this new phase.

Welcome Back!

The World moves and when it does, we are along for the ride. When it stops and what we do to reorder of lives is a measurement of our strength. Its that stability seen and felt that brings comfort to our Parrots.

Enjoy! It is a much better choice anyway!

Oh welcome back! You are so brave and I admire your commitment to your feathered babies as so many would have given up under similar circumstances. You’ll get thru this and we’ll be here cheering you on.

This is an awesome bunch of cheerleaders, I’ve been on the receiving end of their support. We’re here!
