...Hi folks I just got off the phone with Geri,Al's missus... I had NO IDEA that Al was having surgery again! I know when he sent me a PM awhile back,he said that he had a bout with double phenumonia and the coughing and such was so bad, that the hardware in his chest after his by-pass had loosened up causing him moderate pain constantly.

So they (the doc's) opened him up once again today to insert a plate in his chest (I'm not sure what was attached to the plate) to tighten up the wires and screws and attached muscle that became loose from the coughing. Geri said he came thru the procedure just fine and will be in the hospital for a few days. Of course he will be VERY limited in what he can do when he gets home again. No lifting. No stretching his arms out.No arms above his head..

Geri will call me tomorrow with an update. She just thought we should know what was going on. When I hear something i'll make a post. Lets keep this guy and his family in our thoughts and prayers once again!!

Al had Posted prior to Christmas that he need to go back in to have 'things' structured better /stronger, but didn't say what was driving the problem.

Love that Video clip and had always seen Al running on that beach with Salty leading the way!

Al, Fair Seas, a Following Wing and a Moon Lite Night Good Friend!

Hey, I want to be at the Airport the first time you attempt to pass through the metal detector! It's going to be a hoot when that station lights-up! :D

All the best to Al for a quick recovery. He's been spending too much time in hospitals.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Thanks, Jim, for the update. Glad Al's surgery went well, no doubt he'll have an extended recovery. You can bet he'll be itching to leave the hospital and they won't keep him any longer than necessary/tolerable!!

Get improved soon Al!

(thats what you get from flirting with/ cursing at the nurses: once they went pirate, they wanted you back! It was inevitable.

Well... guess what: we want you back as well! And so do Geri, Salty and the other fellowpirates. So once the tide turns .. hop aboard that boat and make a run for it!
All the way home plze.)
