If you are feeling an unusual hankering today to don your Blue Suede Shoes and mosey on down to the Heartbreak Hotel, because your Hound Dog is howling more than usual, then this may be the reason why! The annual Elvis Festival is being held in the NSW town of Parkes this week, commencing with a special train ride from Sydney jam-packed with every kind of fanatic, impersonator, sound-alike, look-alike from all over the world that you could possibly imagine!

The only thing that concerns me is temperatures in regional Parkes this weekend are tipped to soar up to 38 Celsius (or around 100F), and all those nylon jumpsuits... not a good combination!

All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)

Oh it gets PLENTY hot out in rural Australia, close to the desert, all I can think of is how hot and sweaty all those synthetic fabrics in those costumes would be - yuck!

As for hubby, no he is more a Freddie Mercury/Queen fan. You may remember his moustache growing exploits from Movember? I'm not entirely sure what is actually happening in this picture, looks like some enhancement with a marking pen going on... all I do know is he will probably freak when he finds out I've posted this shot, but it's his fault for leaving it lying around on the desk top where I can find it!

So I have consulted legal advice in regards to whether embarrassing me by posting photos on the forum is grounds for divorce and no self respecting lawyer will touch my case.

Consequently...

I will take the only course I have at my disposal, which is to embarrass her back.
