I currently go to college in Florida but I'm from Connecticut. I talked to my mom on the phone and she said they got 27" inches of snow yesterday on top of the 15" they got last Friday! Check out the pictures she sent me!

Hate, hate, hate snow. We got three feet after Christmas, then another foot last week to over that. Then yesterday, we got another 2 feet. Ugghhhhh. It's very pretty though. Will post pictures soon.

virgin snow is beatiful if you do not have to go out. Last year Md. had a whopping 50 inches and this year so far just about 1 to 2 inches.

We currently have about 2 feet on the ground. January is usually our worst month.. We usually get an ice storm too. Then everything is covered in ice making it hard to even walk. Let alone get the car door open.

I spent enough time in the snow and cold, I don't want to do it any more. We've had snow on the ground since Sunday...we got 4" in about 6 hours. Snow never lasts more than about 36 hours here. I'm ready for it to be done...and the cold to leave, we've only has a couple hours each day above freezing. I'm ready to have my Texas sun back!

Dang ya'll sure don't take snow that well. lol :p I'm from Northern Wisconsin, about 13 miles south of Lake Superior(way norther WI)and i'm not near as sick of it as you guys are lol. Though I would LOVE for it all to go away and for summer to come. :( Then again I don't think we got as much snow dumped on us as some of you guys. It is icy as heck though and we're getting negatives in the night. But that's normal.......

up here in south central Vermont we're about on par with Connecticut... Been a pretty good snow year so far ;) I'm a skiier, but I love snow anyway. I just bought a new car, so I probably won't be able to get to the mountains much this year, if at all :( BUT! I'm just getting ready to leave for our annual winter camping trip with some good friends of mine :) for the first time I've convinced my girlfriend to come so we'll be boarding the birds for four days... I know Ms. Beak is gonna be mad at me, but I just can't miss this, it'll be our fifth year, and I've known some of these fiends for 25 years. It's always a good time, snowshoeing, back country skiing, fires, drinkin', card games and stealing the dogs for warmth :)

Sunny South Africa has not been sunny at all this whole summer. We have had so much rain that a lot of provinces are flooded.

Kruger National Park looks wonderful this year, in 2009 hundreds of animals dropped dead because of the drought.:(

Here is some photos from the webcam that shows the difference.

It's really just what you're used to. When I was growing up, we didn't even blink at cold until it got to be -20F or colder. We didn't get much rain in the summer so most precipitation was in the form of snow. In the 12 years of public eduction, we only had 1 day that school was canceled due to weather. Blizzards and snow and bitter cold were considered normal. Even though I was used to it, I hated being cold.

Now I love the Texas weather...only a couple of months of cold weather and lovely, sunny motorcycle-riding weather the rest of the year.
