I have been kind of sparse for a while on the forum and a bit unwell off and on. There is a very good reason for all that! Myself, Joe and Kiwi are all waiting for a new addition, this time of the tiny human variety:D :07:Baby is actually due on New Yearā€™s Day! So sometime in late December or early January there will be some huge changes for us. We are all very excited! I had the scan the week before last and despite my awful cold/cough Iā€™ve been battling, baby looks perfectly healthy. The gender will be a surprise;)

Kiwi has been a good boy. He had been extra protective of me and definitely knows something is up! Iā€™m unsure to what level he understands what is going on though. My computer and art stuff is also in the babyā€™s room (itā€™ll have to be a shared space) and Kiwi already spends a lot of time in there with me. Hopefully it will be an easy transition for him. Heā€™s been very curious about the strange ā€œcageā€(crib) that has appeared in there and seems pretty offended by this super fat blue front plushie I found:p Out in public, Kiwi likes kids and hams it up for them, so we are hoping heā€™ll adjust well. My moms amazons were very curious about me as a baby and spent a lot of time in my room, so going to give Kiwi the chance to do the same and I think heā€™ll be fine. He isnā€™t the jealous type so long as heā€™s being included with what weā€™re doing and is a more hands off bird so I donā€™t think heā€™ll actually get in the way/closer than he should:green:

The first 3 or so months dragged by very slowly indeed! Now that I feel human again, things are going much faster. Thereā€™s a lot to do for a baby, so it passes the time.

Iā€™m ok with either. Iā€™ve heard little boys are more difficult when toddlers but little girls are more difficult when teenagers.

Lots of phots for sure!

Iā€™m hoping for a nice healthy baby. I already fell so close to it. It moves a lot and itā€™s just a crazy feeling. Iā€™m sure once born, itā€™ll be even more so.

I parronts are most qualified to become parents, you have tons of experience that will cross over! I raised my nieces and I was a nanny for a while, it's basically the same as raising a parrot :D

Woooooooo! Thatā€™s fabulous news! And ignore any ideas that boys are this way and girls are that. Just like parrots-theyā€™re individuals. My daughter was/is a joy from the start and the teenage years were a breeze.

Canā€™t wait for pics!!

Congratulations April, Joe, and Kiwi! What fantastic news. Tami hit the nail on the head. You can prepare all you like, but you can't grasp that feeling until he/she arrives. It's truly incredible. We have three, and now two amazing granddaughters. Pictures, pictures, pictures! Don't blink or you'll miss something as everything changes in an instant. It's a long ride, just enjoy the journey every step along the way!

April! I'm just seeing this! Congratulations to you and Joe!!! This is wonderful news! I'm sure you'll make amazing parents for your little one! And I'm already dying to see pics!

April, I can honestly tell you that there is nothing in life like greeting your child for the first time. I couldn't be happier for you and your soon to be expanded family. God bless you.

You might be right, but men get the easier part of the ā€œgreetingā€ LOL. Yā€™all just stand around waiting for the baby to come out. [emoji1787][emoji6]

Thank you! The more pregnant I get the more excited we get to finally see and hold our baby:07::07::07:

I will post pics when the baby comes and probably of the nursery because Iā€™m excited with how itā€™s turning out:D Lots of fun DIYs (all closely supervised as I made them by my green buddy:green:).

We're excited with you! And as artistic as you are, I just know the DIY's are going to be amazing! Just don't go working yourself too hard with all that nursery prep, okay?
