Anyone cut the cord to their cable company? Our cable company raised our price one time too many. Ordered a couple Amazon Firesticks and considering subscribing to Fubo TV. Anyone have any experience?

Still wired in, but I understand that when G5 arrives this time next year it will provide major opportunities that really supports cutting Cable. But, that is just hearsay at this moment!!!

Havenā€™t had cable for several years here - moved to Netflix and discovered that I have Amazon prime video too. I havenā€™t missed it.

I cut the cord in 2010. I didn't see any real value in it since, for me, it was little more than background noise. I was also annoyed by seeing 8 different channels airing the same program at the same time. Now I just stick to my DVD collection and YouTube. I also have an antenna that gives me anywhere from 5-12 channels, depending on weather.

Because of Rocco's desire to always be center stage, I need to see most movies 3 times before I can make much sense of them.

my family stopped using cable awhile ago. We now just have a collection of Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube TV. Which I guess is cheaper.

I cut the cord (in a manner of speaking) about 2 years ago. Satellite TV kept jacking rates.
I do have cable internet and phone service.
I have HULU and I like it best but will be canceling my subscription soon.

I have Sling. it's ok but I find there software crashing more often. I will be keeping Sling because they offer South American channels my wife likes watching.

I have Amazon prime. I find Amazon disappointing because to much of there programming you have to pay extra for.

I use TUBI now and then and also subscribe to PBS and use there app for some of there nature shows.

All these things I watch through a Firestick plugged into my (dumb)TV

B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
We have broadcast. And before that we had nothing. Not enough cell data to stream videos, and no wifi.

I don't even have a TV lol at my house!! But I do have Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime (which I watch on my computer). My parents have a Roku and Apple TV which they use to watch things on an actual TV at their house(no cable). It's perfect for all of us really (even the more tech savvy relatives don't seem to miss the cable when they visit).

I have the Dish Everything pack, Netflix, Prime, MLB and now Disney+ free from Verizon. I feel it's a small price to pay for entertainment....my wife not so much ;)

And nothing like binge watching. I just watched the last season of Man in the High Castle while flying to/from the west coast.

I use Kodi and Mobdro with bluestacks which runs android apps, or use VMware and custom version of android 9.0. Yes the Amazon fire stick can be modded as done a few. Yes modified a few smart TV's to run software. Can watch shows and movies worldwide before it even hit Netflix and etc, as have other sources and software won't get into. But barely watch TV more for background when working. Most of the time YouTube if anything and use PC mostly.

Yes do still pay for cable as well as we spit bill and have a decent package deal, but use other apps when on the go for free.

I havenā€™t had cable tv for over 15 years! I have a digital antenna in my attic and I get 60 some odd channels! You being in Illinois, an antenna would be fantastic!

Yes! Cost was ridiculous. Don't miss it. I have Roku and get a lot of free streaming channels and Netflix. So happy I did it!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I have not yet, inertia keeps me hooked. But y'all are giving me ideas and there is a lot of competition.

I watch a lot of news channels, some movies, and educational programs.

I havenā€™t owned a TV in my adult life (12 years since I got my first apartment). My husband had one when we first got together, but we never had cable or satellite, so it didnā€™t ever really get used except to watch a movie on occasion. I find I have ample time to do all kinds of things without a big, glowing distraction in my life. The internet is bad enough but at least you can find educational stuff and community there. TV? Just a bunch of ads and mind numbing, time wasting programming designed to get you to spend money and think/act like everybody else. I call the things weapons of mass distraction lol. Iā€™m not fond of movies either. I do watch documentaries on occasion but not enough to justify paying for a service to see them!

My husband did subscribe to Netflix about a year ago, but I donā€™t really watch it. Shows suck you into watching episode after episode and 4 hours later, youā€™ve done nothing productive and gained nothing from the experience. I just donā€™t get the appeal of these forms of ā€œentertainmentā€ at all.

Haven't had a land line phone or cable for over 12 years. Hell.... we're probably canceling Netflix. It's all overpriced garbage, anyway.

I find that the consistent picture quality and lack of slowdown will keep me paying for satellite TV for a long time. I'm a techie and know how to stream everything and often do, but with my Satellite TV I get HD quality and I never get those annoying "Buffering" pauses.....That alone makes Sat TV worth every penny IMO.

I pay a little extra for no commercials & live TV with Hulu & I have the best of both worlds. :D
