Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
WARNING-- A "curse-word" is said in this video (but not by me).
I guess Noodles was shocked to find out that the new-year was about to be upon us...

Ps- for anyone worried that a parrot cannot learn new words/phrases as an adult, this is solid proof. My dad sees her very rarely, but his mission was accomplished--- she loves to yell this when being ignored LOL ! This was NOT my doing.

Also--- She has the world's worst table perch (I am aware). Just wanted to point out the fact that it is TERRIBLE in case anyone is in the market (don't want to be a bad example lol)...ALSO-- That box under her perch is another BAD EXAMPLE....We just came back from a trip and she always plays with it at my parents' house, but with hormones in full-swing, it should be moved ha.

Clyde, Quaker; Freddie, tiel; Rocky, umbrella cockatoo.
In spite of the cussing they hear all the time at my house, only one of mine says any swear words and he only does it when he's mad and it's not even a very bad word. My husband and I cuss far too much (bad habits are hard to break; we don't even have to be slightly annoyed to cuss). Of course, Rocky's talking is so garbled he might be reciting Shakespeare and we wouldn't know it.

She does a lot of ranting/rambling too (like a drunk, crazy person at a bus-stop) but she has moments of clarity---My sister has this cliche "stoner" voice that she does (for the bird) when she visits and it gets her ranting without fail haha! Such silly creatures!

Crazy Cockatoo!! Jonesy would yell at the top of his air sac "You're !@#$% me!! You're !@#$% me!" at the most inappropriate times...usually when I was on the phone  He didn't learn it from me!

It is so ironic how they can immediately pick up something we would rather they don't say, yet won't repeat what we work on with them, just like the toddlers they are. This made me laugh.
A few years ago, Ekko went to the floor, and I tried for almost an hour to get him to step up so I could put him back on his cage. All that time, I said," Ekko, Step up" in a firm, then pleading voice, and he just looked at me with that stoic eclectus stare. Finally in frustration, (which I regretted immediately!), I said," Ekko, step up, dammit." He immediately stepped up, and I put him back on his cage where he proceeded to repeat that using every inflection he had for the next 30 minutes. In comparison, I have said "I love you" multiple times a day for 6 years now, and he has never repeated that once.

My Frankie the opposite. If someone cruses he say loudly and clearly "Shame On You". Baby the one that cruses, but she always on my shoulder and I do tend to watch a lot of cops shows.

Hahahahaha! High comedy!!! That's going to be a tough one to break, now! Though it'll make for a great ice-breaker at any parties you may host. Lol!
