...ok..first off I'm not off my rocker or "on" something! :)

I've been a "believer" now for fifty years. Back in July of 1970 a friend and I were camping out in the back yard. It was a very clear and beautiful night with the sky lit up with stars and around eleven pm we emerged from our tent to take a walk. I just happened to look up into the eastern sky to see five or six bright lights, brighter than the stars, flying in formation, making no sound. No lights blinking like you'd see on an aircraft..flying straight with no "tail" like a comet or meteor would have. The lights stopped in mid air the shot off in different directions. This whole episode took maybe thirty seconds.

I've been watching shows now. Blue Book and Ancient Aliens Declassified.
The U.S. and other countries are starting to release info on this unexplained ph nomanom. Now-a-days with everyone having some sort of smart device on their person some amazing pictures have been taken ( did you know there are more active smart devices in the world then there are people??)

In 1969 when Jimmy Carter was running for governor of Georgia he was in Atlanta to give a speech and he and about twenty others claimed they saw something in the western sky that "couldn't be explained"
Ronald Reagan the governor of California was on a plane looking out the window and saw a "bright light" pacing the plane. Credible people making these statements.

Anyway...the reason for this post...just curious if any of our world-wide members have had any experience???
"We are not alone..we have NEVER been alone":eek:

My wife is in to everything UFO. That's not to say I don't think they are real.
I have never saw anything but 2 things worth mentioning.

I was in a vanpool for a little while and one of the guys on the vanpool said he saw one of those large silent triangles fly over his car. He was driving in a remote part of the antelope Valley.

The one thing that did happen to me.
It was again during this vanpool period. we were sitting in the van waiting for the rest of the riders and one of the guy brought something unusual to my attention. We all could hear a sound like a train's horn but unlike any train horn I have ever heard. It was constant frequency, it did not doppler up or down like a normal moving train. It was not till later that I remembered hearing about this on the Coast to Coast radio show.
I don't know what it was but it never happened again.
Yes there are train tracks fairly close to the vanpool parking lot. It was early in the morning, like 3:30 am and there was no other noises at the time.

I do not believe we are alone, though I've never seen a UFO. The notion of aliens influencing humanity is best showcased in the epic film 2001 a Space Odyssey. Left a huge impact when first seen at age 10, and sparked a quest to better understand the phenomena. Honestly, I believe 98% of sightings have terrestrial explanation. You'd think we'd have more evidence with smartphones at the ready!

The U.S. military (and presumably others) is beginning to discuss rationally. The USN "Tic Tac" incident is fascinating: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zo...-going-on-with-ufos-and-department-of-defense (article and links)

What a fun topic!
I would love to travel to different planets if they were full of life.

This is the most unexplained thing that has ever happened to me. In my Senior year of highschool, ( long long ago) a freind and I went to a nature park with a lake at night. We had to hike through the woods to reach the lake. Our plans were to read and discuss a book my freind brought, and sip some schnapps. He was trying to woo me, and it was a brilliant plan as I love nature and books, as you all know!! But I thought we were best freinds and alas had no attractions to him.
So as we near the lake , no trail we are in the middle of the woods , at night, I see beautiful colors sparkling under the water. I say to my freind inst that beautiful! He just looks at me and says yes its a nice night. We reach the shore and sit on a boulder. I'm mesmerized looking across the lake at what appears to be several foot long glow worms of different colors, pinks, oranges, soft reds, greens, blues, purples, just swimming , twinning , and looping together under the water..
I turn to my friend and say why aren't you looking at this?! He's getting the book out and flashlight, and he says it's just the moon on the water. It was a full moon night.. I'm trying to make sense of this....
Then I look up at the moon, and down to the water again, and see the moonshine reflected off to the left of what I'm looking at. So I jab him and say no , over there , is that bioluminescent fish??? He looks again, and looks at me, and says I don't see anything. I'm shocked ! It's so bright shining up from under the water, all these huge glowing tubes , swirling under the water. I had been enjoying it, but now I'm afraid!
I'm explaing it to him and pointing. Asking if he is Jokinig that he can't see it. He is getting nervous and says he is not joking ,he doesn't see anything.
Bam! The lights disappear! And in the blink of an eye the entire lake us covered in a heavy fog! I'm afraid to ask but I turn back to him and ask do you see the fog that just covered the lake!?? His eyes are big and he says yes he sees the fog. I'm so happy he can see the fog. So we talk for a couple of minutes about how can the fog appear so fast out if thin air.. And he says maybe across the lake someone's had strung up colored lights and I was seeing the reflection in the water. We both look across to the other shoreline and don't see any lights. I'm starting to calm down , and trying to explain to him what I saw.
Bam! The fog disappears, in the blink of an eye. We look at eachother and our mouths are hanging open. I look across the lake and see the glow worms of color under the water again , but only a few. I ask him, do you see them now? He's says no, but let's get out of here!!!! We raced out of the woods and back to the car. We left and never went back, not even in the daylight!
It was the most stunningly beautiful thing I have ever seen, and the most terrifying.... I have no explanation for the swimming lights, or the fog that covered the lake in a second, then disappeared a few minutes later in a second....or why only I could see the glowing lights under the water....

I must live and travel in a limited activity areas i.e. the Great Lakes. During my long life, in which I have thousands of hours traveling the open waters of the Great Lakes, I have never seen a UFO or anything that falls into that category.

Maybe, I have just been in the wrong area at the wrong time, or the weather conditions limiting viewing, or whatever the reason. That is not saying that I do not have friends that report seeing such events, only that I have not seen any.

This last Spring, Summer and Fall I had piloted a fair number of very well equipped yachts, with a full array of short and long distant radar units that could pick up groups of small birds to night-vision technology - nothing...

I'm not saying that there is nothing, only that they clearly have been avoiding me.

Anyone that has traveled this World knows that there are great wonders on this Blue Planet, many difficult to explain based on 'our' current understanding of how this World /Universe works. All of which brings us a few basic realities. What travelers that are out in that Universe are traveling with technologies far beyond anything that is currently within our abilities.

I believe that we Earthlings need to be open to the vast possibilities of the huge Universe that we live within. We also need to be open to the wondrous things that Humans have themselves accomplished and have loss that knowledge to history...

With respect to UFO's, the shear numbers of reports (fully around the World) and the broad cross-section of our population that has reported seeing or experiencing UFO activities has created an argument that becomes ever more difficult to brush aside. It never helps when Governments around the World choose to hide what they know.

For me, I hold an open mind on the subject...
After all, we live on a Planet that circles a fairly common Sun that is within its middle age and that nothing happens on this Planet that is not effected by our Sun!

And the pyramids, built thousands of years ago..to this day you can't slip a piece of paper between the cracks. Rocks weighing in the tons...how were they moved without modern technology? Baffles the mind!

I'm convinced our understanding of space and time is simplistic, don't think it is limited to 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minute per hour moving forward at constant rate. Nor do we live in a huge universe with X number of stars/galaxies. Einstein predicts space/time change approaching the speed of light. I believe there are multiverses (dimensions) and perhaps methods of crossing between "realms."

I read a very interesting book, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it!
It was an interview with an alien, but if you Google that a book comes up that is not the book. It was a very mind blowing book. It was about space ,time, the layers of dimensions, multiverse, and the inability of the human mind to grasp that. It really made you think. ... It might have been " The Many Lives of Tao" but I'm not sure. It's not free on my Kindle so I can't tell...

I took a few minutes to get a feel for the writing, reading the first several pages of what felt like a military document I had read during my military service. Then a bit of the introduction, followed by several sample readings followed by segments 58 - 64.

The writer clearly came from a military background. What was provided in the small samples that I read had the the favor of a 'report,' which would be customary in such a military document.

If you are a true believer, I would recommend the reading. For myself, I'm left wanting to read it, but attempting to define the when to undertake this massive document.

An individual who by definition is well read /traveled and enjoys the play of both history and a different Vantage Point will likely enjoy this document.

I couldn't get to any parts that I recognizing. And The Lives of Tao wasn't it either.
The book I read was really extraordinarily, and it frustrating to not be able to find it! It's almost like it's been pulled from the public domain!!!!!

As a follow-up to the above, I had elected to print the 434 page document so that I could set my own comments along the way. While print, it became bluntly obvious that the writing and documenting was a major undertaking, beyond that of the majority of Historians.

Sorry that it was not what you had originally read. But, you may find this one of interest.

Back in 2012, I woke up during the night and saw a light outside my window.
It was slowly moving parallel with the ground, so I thought it was someone outside, until it started going upward. It made quick movements once it was higher up, never leaving the window.
Then it stopped, I got up to check it out. The light stayed near the upper right corner of the window, until it "became" the moon.
Once I could clearly tell that that was indeed the moon, I went back to bed, but I couldn't see the moon from there.
I have left my curtains closed ever since! Lol.
I believe it was extraterrestrial, no one can convince me otherwise. I haven't seen anything like it since.

Of course you haven't! Your curtains are closed! LOL

I have a very vague recollection of being with my mom (I was probably 9) and we saw SOMETHING flying through the sky that was very symmetrical but not in any shape of a familiar flying thing. Visitors? Maybe. I think it's ridiculous to think that we are the only sentient beings in all the universe.

Related: I have a friend who's an archaeologist. She can't tell me how the Egyptians pulled off the pyramids, but she did say that aliens wasn't one of the theories she's currently following. So boring! Ha!

I have finished the reading and find that it requires a very open mind or one with limited exposure to the vastness of 'this' World to comfortably except as written.

There is no question that 'several' individuals developed and documented this writing. That documentation provides a foundation for the writing, but such documentation does not 'singularly' support this writing as the Answer to: Are we alone and if not who or what and /or why we are here and for what purpose... It is that single term that should give us cause to be concerned: "What Purpose, We?"

What it does support is that Travel between here and elsewhere is based on totally different technology then anything close to what we currently have or are believed to have...

Enjoy the night sky's as it is filled with wondrous things!

No, we are not alone. I just made a post about alien abductions in Mysterious Missing Time. I saw my first UFO many years ago as a child, and think I saw an alien that looked like a woman. I know to the unbeliever it all sounds unbelievable, but it is real.
