Currently I have none, but I have the capacity to adopt a minimum and maximum of two budgies - preferably a bonded pair or two males.
Hi all

I was thinking for the supporting member option, why not have multiple option rather than the fixed 9.99 dollar option. May be there are logistic and/or legal difficulties etc.

But if possible keep the supporting option in multiple slabs like

1. 1$
2. 2$
3. 3$
4. 5$
5. 10$
6. 15$
7. 20$
8. 25$
9. 50 $
10. 100$

so that more people can consider supporting. Just a wild suggestion that came across my mind.

The Supporting Member designation is an opportunity for members to provide operating funds to assure the continued operation of the Forum. When one contributes for a year or multiple years, the Administration provides the designation: Supporting Member.

When a member contributes for an amount less then the listed amount, it would likely be viewed as a donation and as a result not seen as Supporting Member status.

Great idea, and our Mod Team will likely provide more insight!

We will discuss it in the Mod Forum and get back to you on this!

I actually, thought about this when I first joined and became a SM.

Thanks so much! :)

It would also be nice if possible if there could be a way to access this option through the Tapatalk app :) I have no idea if such a thing is even reasonable but this thread made me realize it hasn’t even occurred to me to send in money since I have pretty much switched to exclusively using this forum from my phone.

What’d be really nice would be if paid subscribers could receive a bit less of the maddening random advertising pop ups that make me a little cray cray!

The only ads I see are the couple at the very top which are supporting Vendor adds. If you're getting pop up ads then you need to either get a better ad blocker or what I do, update your hosts file with one that prevents those ads (it acts like like a robocall blocker)

I'd say just keep it the way it is, but add a higher teir, say $50 a year and you get to be some new color., like cyan or teal or aqua..... with bonus reputation points. I'd pay for the VIP package.

The reason I made this suggestion was that 10$ may be too expensive for many countries in the world. In India for example a pair of budgerigars in many pet shops costs you about 350 to 450 rupees ie. approximately 5 to 7 $

If this forum is to benefit many more people from across the globe, it should have more options.

May be different donations can have different iconic symbols to represent the contribution.
say the 1$ can have a Galah, 15 $ can have Sulphur crested cockatoo and 100$ can have the Major Mitchell's cockatoo .

The Admins will discuss it and get back to us. As soon as we hear back from them, we'll let you know what they decide.

Thanks!
