Today Rio has been much noisier then normal and for longer I hope this is normal behaviour and that he is content and not that he is unhappy

I guess I never find lori screetching annoying....lol.... in comparison in what I've owned before and now....in parrot world, its what they do to communicate. You'll know when its a terrified scream, just being annoying, or just regular chatter. I can tell with mine, I run to them ASAP if the scream don't sound right, I listen for their sounds even at night when they sleep, few times a few was fighting and I had to calm everyone down....

Yes it sounds like he is finally getting comfortable in his new home. I've had some birds that were noisy from day one and some that take a little bit of time to settle in before they make any noise, like ziggy, it took her about 2 weeks as well, now she yells if we leave the room, she wants music on or she wants me to hold her lol. She has me very well trained :09:

Yes he is starting to feel at home. Just wait till he starts mimicing the phone.
