One week ago, my aunt came to my house hysterical because she thought that her finches may have hatched out babies. She thought they were both female somehow. Lol! Surprise!!!! They weren't and the eggs she left in because she thought it was better for them to act natural did in fact hatch! She had no idea what to do next so I contacted a lady and one of my newest friends off this forum for advice. She told us exactly what to do, but also warned us that in the end could be heart breaking especially with the first clutch.

Well it has been a week now and I am delighted to report that both babies are still alive and changing every day. They are thriving in so many ways! Had it not been for this member of this forum, this miracle could have very well indeed turned into heart break! Thank God for wonderful people, and thank you so much Melinda for all your help and support!!!!

Thank you! I have some pictures on my phone, but they aren't very good. Hard to get a picture through the cage, and we didn't want to disturb them as today was the first day that both parents were off of them.

Congrats!! Just make sure you provide them with clean water and extra food. They've got extra mouths to feed. What type of finches? Finches are prolific breeders, you rarely encounter problems....

I honestly don't know anything about finches. They are my aunt's, so unsure of what kind. They have tons of food in their cage, and she changes their water 3 times a day to ensure its always fresh:)
