Acorn - a Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure;
Bob - a Cockatiel;
Cricket - an American Budgie
I recently got back in town from a business trip and got Bob back. Yesterday I went with a friend to pick up the vet report for Delilah. We then went to the store I got her from to see what they would do for me. The owner said that she would make things right and was sympathetic with the loss of Delilah. We hung around for a while looking at the birds there, and fell in love with a little budgie. We asked her to hold the budgie and a cage that he could share with Bob for a day. I wanted the time to make sure I could fit the new cage in with a cage for a grey.

The measurements worked out and we went back today to pick up the bird and cage. Sometime between our visits the store received four green cheek conures, and two yellow sided green cheeks. My friend insisted on meeting the conures. We fell in love with the first one (though we met all six), which was one of the yellow sided ones. So we ended up leaving with a cute little blue budgie, and a yellow sided green cheek conure. We also got a cage for the conure and paid for a cage that Bob and the budgie will (hopefully) eventually share that will be picked up next week. There were also lots of new toys. We did get a significant discount for everything.

The budgie has been named Cricket, and the Conure is now known as Acorn.

My appologies if this is in the wrong section, and for the long post.

I'm sure you will both be happy with your new feathered companions!

My first budgie was named Cricket.
