Masuka, our laughing thrush, has been quiet since we got her. I have heard her in the last few days whistle one note, always when I am not in the room. Well, tonight, she is whistling away with me right beside her! It is very high pitched and kind of loud, but sweet music to my ears:) She must be finally feeling at home here. The guy I got her from had never heard her make any noise in the time that he had her.
Yay! Made my night:):)

She just ate her first live mealworm a couple of days ago. Reg puts a couple in a dish for me to just add to her cage, and she was ignoring them before. Nope, I have not had my bare hands on one yet, when they happen to crawl out of the dish, I use a fishnet to get them back in..lol. what can I say, I am a little squeamish:(

LoL....I had to hold them with my hands before to convince my birds to eat them while I was showing I'm fake eating them....lol....after they got the taste down they go crazy for them....

Nice, Terry! I'm glad Masuka is finally adding her voice to the chorus of bird chatter going on at your place. Time to reward her with a treat! Go on, Terry! Grab one of those tasty, wriggly treats in your bare hands. You can do it! :p

Most certainly. But of course, being the consummate gentleman that I am, I would have to insist, "Ladies first!" Lol!
