I fell in love, and I'm head over heels in love.

Kakariki, I've made this my new dream bird. -wonders off in thought-

I'm glad I didn't bring my wallet in to the breeders store today, I think I would have started to put a deposit on one.

Oh my Lovebirds are fine. Nips doesn't pluck anymore, I'm hoping with the warmer months coming her feathers will grow back. ^-^ My birds are healthy and happy, if Nips' feathers don't grow back it adds to her bad girl personality haha. (Shes a good girl, finally steps up for me without having to keep my hand covered.)

But I also didn't do the deposit. I was looking for a friend for Gabby, since she was rudely kicked from her cage. And a Kakariki wouldn't be a match ( sigh ) I've also been working on getting my babies to eat fruits too. Its a painful process

Actually a Kakariki won't be the right match for any lovebird! Lovebirds will only get along with other lovebirds, not another specie.

But Gabby got along with Mozzi, I think because Mozzi was younger. Oh well, my mom said if I were to adopt a Kakariki I'd be kicked out of the house. She said she doesn't want another bird to ruin those tense moments families get. Lol.

Awww! I LOVE my Kaks! I can never say that too many times.. EVER!

I've had my Kaks get along with different types of Conures, Ringnecks, Scarlet Chested Parekeets, Budgies.... the list goes on! But yeah, I'm not sure they'd be a good match with Lovebirds.. the lovies would probably annihilate the Kaks, unless you get a fiesty Kak that's not cowardly and who would completely destroy the lovebirds (all of my Kaks have had that cowardly-trait lol...so pathetic).

It is so hard though not to snatch up Kakarikis when they pop up for sale.. they are just too darn cute! (However I don't like the cinnamons or pieds.. I'm very fussy ^^)

Even if Gabby gets along with Mozzi doesn't mean they will automatically get along with other species, and you should never house different species in the same cage- that's just asking for trouble.
