I have never seen one of these, and he was amazing!
He is a Hawfinch, and my friend Janine took this picture next to the owl finch to show how big the hawfinch is. He looks like a dinosaur, and tried his best to bite us through the bars...I must have 1:)

Ha ha, Terry! Are you sure he's not an aggressive sparrow species? He needs to lay off the steroids. He is a cutie though.
