Today, I went back to the petshop, and I also took the boy-lory home.

I let them stay in the same cage but soon I found out that the girl-lory is not as keen as before to play with me... so, I decided to separate them and just let them meet for some time in a day...

That was definitely a smart move to make. You just have to leave their cages in the same room, and move them closer every day or two. Soon, they might become friendly enough with each other to be in the same cage; but always give close supervision the first few days if/when you decide to do that.

Best keep them apart for a while.
Shouldn't the new bird be isolated for 30 days if other birds are present?
A visit to the avian vet should also be top priority, you never know if a bird in the pet shop was ill or had a disease.
Rather be safe than sorry
Good luck
