Rock Pebblers or other Polytelis

Hi! I'm new to these forums. I have a Rock Pebbler and would like to get another, or even any other Polytelis to keep her company. Does anyone know of breeders near Seattle? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about. I thought this thread was about frogs and tadpoles... Do you have pictures of your bird? This bird sounds interesting! There are so many types of small birds in Australia and I only know a few...

Not sure, but have you checked www.birdbreeders.com to see if there are breeders of Rock Pebblers in your area?

Thanks Jersey Wendy, I was tired and not thinking strait and there may have been certain birds name Sonic screaming at the time... They sound interesting though!

Rock Pebblers are gorgeous! As far as Polytelis, my mom has a Princess of Wales, a couple people here have Barrabands. There maybe be another person with RP too. My mom got her POW from a breeder in the Pacific NW but she retired.

Good luck... I know they're around. You don't hear of them very often as pets, but seen a little more as an aviary bird.

Birdbreeders.com as Wendy mentioned is a good one. Also there are other breeder locator sites out there too. Keep looking and calling around, and people you talk to might be able to refer you to someone.

They are beautiful, gentle, and not noisy. I love my other birds, but RPs are delightfully different. Eventually I'd like to get a breeding pair, but in the meantime I think this girl would like the company of another Polytelis. Right now she's sharing space with a cockateil, but they ignore each other. Someone around here breeds Princess of Wales' parakeets, so if I can't find another RP I'll settle for that.
