Kazi loves quinoa! And so do his humans. I make a quinoa and black bean dish that is out of this world (especially with some Tabasco on it!) and Kazi gobbles it right up with us. His is, of course, unseasoned beyond the veggie broth I cook the quinoa in.

Chia seed is another one that's good for people and birds and Kazi loves it too. I sprinkle a little on his meals. It's the same stuff the Chia pets come with (but lots cheaper from the grocery store!).

My birds get all kinds of grains, etc. that we eat. Quinoa, kashi, tabouille, hummus, falafal, and so many more. As much of their food comes from the health food store as from the pet store. Also, oatmeal, flax seeds, chia seeds, sesame paste & seeds, the list goes on & on...

The birds like spicy foods. I seasoned the mash I made above with Cayenne pepper which is good for the CV system of birds and humans.
