People are always looking for fresh foods to feed our birds. Something that I do to provide fresh greens is to put some seeds from a birdfood mix into a small container, add water, and keep moist. In a few days, they sprout and grow into grasslike greens that my birds love. Also, cut carrot tops about 1" long, put in container with top up, add water half way up pieces. Keep wet, and tops will sprout. This also works with beets, and parsnips. My fids also like wheatgrass from health food store. And, "cat grass" from pet store. And, of course, any other sprouts meant for human consumption.
