I've never made birdie bread or muffins. I have a batch in the oven. However, I am not sure about one (main ingredient.) If I cant give them to the birds I will give them to the dogs. I pureed up veggies added water and then, because I didn't have corn bread mix or pancake mix, I added apple cinnamon muffin mix. I realize it is high in sugar, but would this be okay in moderation? Also, I'm pretty sure cinnamon is ok too, right?

Cinnamon is safe for parrots, ours love to chew on cinnamon sticks. I would worry about the sugar though, how much sugar is in it? Birds don't process sugar like humans do and it's quite bad for them. I make our muffins with a corn bread base and then I put sweet potatoes, corn, peas, zupreem pellets and whatever other veggies seem like they'd like.
