Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Dry ingredients:
3 boxes of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
3 tablespoons of baking powder
2 cups of dry baby cereal

Wet ingredients:
3 eggs
1 container organic non sweetened joghurt
1 cup organic crunchy peanut butter
3 bananas (diced)
1 sweet potato (shredded)
2 Squashes (shredded)
4 oz of Red Palm Oil (softened)

Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

Spray Pam onto your container of choice to bake in. ( I use white ceramic)

Pour mixture into container and place into pre-heated oven

Bake at 400 degrees for about 40 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean).

Cool, cut into serving size portions, bag and freeze. :)

(There are SO many variations to this recipe. I JUST baked the one I listed today, and both my Macs AND Amazons are going GAGA over it. Just remember, this recipe is quite RICH, as it contains a good amount of Red Palm Oil. :) )

Wow! This sounds awesome! How would it effect the recipe to not have palm oil? I don't want to include palm oil in Rosie's diet.

It wouldn't. Just don't add the palm oil. If it's too hard to mix, you could add another squash for added moisture. :)

Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to make some this weekend. Where do you get palm oil?

I'm wondering if I can use applesauce instead of palm oil. Also, is that supposed to be yogurt? Thanks.

No no, Palm Oil is just that...Palm Oil. :)

And no, you don't have to use it. I baked it this way on purpose for my Macs, as Palm Oil is good for them. :) I only give this particular recipe VERY sparingly to my Amazons, even though they love it, too.

And yes, you can use applesauce. Just remember, you don't want the mixture to be too runny. It has to have a pretty thick consistency.

Great recipe, could I use it for my budgies ? If so, is there a way I could bake some seeds into it ?

Oh yes, you sure can. Don't give them any Palm Oil though, I don't think they need it. :) And yes, add whatever seeds you like.

Also, you may want to cut the recipe in half, or you'll have enough for an entire year. ;)

I made the birdie bread today and left it on the counter to cool. Before I knew it, my mom had stopped by and decided to cut some for her and our teenage boys. They all LOVED it and were a bit upset when they found out it was for Josie. The good news is that Josie also loves it and everyone felt a little bit better about eating "bird food" when they found out the ingredients. (I left out the palm oil and substituted with apple sauce)

I made this today and Willow loves it. I cut the recipe in half and put in some broccoli and some strawberries. She went nuts. My Senegal wouldn't touch it, but she is like that. Thanks for posting this. '

You're quite welcome. But I'm afraid it you call me "Jersey" again I might have to open up a can of "whoop-a$$" on you. I was born and "bread" in Germany...I merely LIVE in this part of the woods. ;)
