Emi, a 14-year old senegal
Hello! I'm currently in the process of converting my 14 year old senegal parrot from zupreme natural to Harrison's. She seems to like Harrison's and always goes for it first. The problem is that even though I am feeding her distinct meals, there seems to be a LOT of waste. I'm still not sure how much of it she is eating and how much of it she's ripping up and leaving at the bottom of the bowl. Once the pellets are no longer in big pieces, she's no longer interested!
I don't want to leave the pellets out too long or else they won't be fresh, but I want to make sure she gets enough to eat! Anyone have any advice?

When it comes to dry foods, I only provide enough food for one day. At the end of that day, or first thing in the morning, I dump left overs and refresh. Fresh foods are only left for a few hours.

I also feed Harrison's Fine since I have mostly small birds, and my only "large" tends to send larger pieces of food flying! He still manages to make pellet dust out of the small size, though....

Here's what Harrison's says. I don't necessarily agree with it, but it might be worth a shot?
My bird eats Harrison's and wastes quite a bit of food. How can I make him stop? (wasting, meals)
