This is the dry mix I make for Larry. I keep it in the refrigerator in a large airtight tupperware container. These mixes are purchased and I mix them together.
INGREDIENTS:
Kay-Tee Gourmet Diet (Fiesta, some seed)
RoudyBush Maintenance pellets (mini)
Canoga Birds- Medium Bird Healthy Blend (no seed)
Canoga birds- Small Bird healthy Blend (no seed)
These dry mixes contain pellets, a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, and some (small amounts) of seeds are found in the Kay-Tee brand.
This dry mix blend is available to him mostly all day, although sometimes I remove it to compel him to munch on other things.
Larry also gets a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, usually just what I have on hand or pick up specifically for him in the markets I shop at.
I occasionally cook Larry some of the RoudyBush Orchard Harvest. That stuff smells wonderful, I am tempted to try some myself.
The Canoga Bird mixes are recipes specially blended by the breeder for conures and other parrots. I don't know if they sell them online. I drive 50 miles to get these two gourmet blends. They are Canoga Park Discount Bird & Supplies in San Fernando Valley, CA. (hope it's ok to give them a plug)
