I tried Nutriberries for Robin and the birds I had years ago, and no one liked them. I remember wasting a whole bunch.
The other day, I had a Petco coupon, so I decided to try them again. Robin, Raven, and Griffin LOVE them! I bought the El Paso blend. Kind of Southwestern flavored with bell pepper. I'm going to Petco again with another coupon, to try a different flavor.
I'd also like to try and get Twigs (Budgie) to get his source of seed through Nutriberries (healthy food and without seed hulls). He didn't like them as big balls... Maybe I'll crush one up for him... DOES ANYONE'S BUDGIE EAT NUTRIBERRIES? I figure they're much healthier than the honey treat sticks that he loves besides his Harrison's pellets.

As I try my hardest to get my mind away from Pix's death yesterday, I am focusing on my 4 birds and spoiling them as much as I can. I've decided that even though the room will be cramped, I know I can fit Twig's (Budgie) cage in so that he'll at least have some birdy company with the parrots. After all, Budgies are colony birds, plus he's not bonded to me since he's mostly wild. Twigs is so sad also, after losing his best friend. I just can't leave him alone in the den all by himself now without Pix. I'll keep you posted :)

I just got some Tropical Fruit Nutriberries for the guys to try. I ended up getting Twigs some Higgins brand seed for small birds with super tiny pieces of fruit and veggies in it. I'll have to crush up a Nutriberry for him too, but the Safflower and chunks of fruit might be too big for a Budgie? We'll see when I get home.

Hi RavensGryf, So happy you sound better today after your devastating day yesterday.
Hey... Larry (my green cheek) LOVES Nutriberries. Although I have not tried them all (don't want to over-load the storage), his favorite so far is the Tropical Fruit with Papaya, Pineapple & Mango.
He is not as fond of the Sunny Orchard with Cranberries, Apricots & Dates. BUT... I am making him eat them anyways (he does eat them, just not as ravishingly hehehe :) Gotta try that El Paso Blend.
I'm very glad you can get Twigs' cage in with your flock :)
Still thinking of you! XOxo

Thank you Mrs Kay. Well, I am still feeling down about Pix of course, but I'm trying to occupy my mind with my current birds. I took Pix's toys out of his cage. It's very hard to look at. I will have to break the cage down and wash it and put it in storage as soon as possible because I can't just look at it there.
As hard and depressing as it is with Pix, I just cringe at the thought of losing my other boys, especially Robin!

Well, the taste testers liked the Tropical fruit kind. I think you should try the El Paso. I bet Larry will like it.

My budgies don't eat them, but then again I don't feed them to the budgies. I mostly give them to birds who like foot toys, like Scout.

My budgie will eat them if I crush them up...so I usually save them for Phlox and Iris. Iris likes the El Paso ones too...and so far, she's pretty picky.

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry about little Pix! :( It's so tough.... it really is!

Nutriberries are my go-to for treats. I've been using them with Mopar since he was young, and now with Maverick. Seems to work out well. right now I'm using the tropical fruit ones. Those do seem to be a little more popular.
