All my fids have been seed junkies no matter how hard I tried to convert them. They came to me like that. I tried to soak the pellets in juice and applesauce - they'd nibble on it. Finally I gave up and stated buying the Volkman seed for them (probably the best quality seed on the market now) and fruits/veggies. Anyway, I still had some Harrison and Zupreem pellets and I kept trying once in a while, unsuccessfully. Then one day I put some pellets in applesauce and put out nothing else. Parry ate that, screamed and glared at me, but I just added tiny Zupreem dry pellets on the top of that. :D He was so mad, but he DID eat them! And so did all others! I gave them their seed later in afternoon to make sure they didn't starve.
And finally today I just filled the bowl with dry pellet mix and put in front of Parry this morning. He was very angry, but started eating right away and had quite a bit! I dunno what happened!!! :D He never did that before - that was a break through! Then all the other birds joined him (he is the leader of the flock). I just cannot believe that. Hope it wasn't a one time thing...
What about you guys? Are you having trouble to convert your birds from seed to pellets?

Congratulations!

Zilla still throws pellets at Simon (her cat) the only ones she will eat are the goldenfeast golden obles, and that's only as a treat or if strung into a toy! I think it's because they look like cherrios.

YAY! :D glad to hear it. I know it's been a struggle for you.
I've always been lucky here. For some reason everyone now as well as past birds always took right to Harrison's and LOVE it. Raven loves it so much in fact, he RUNS to the dish when I fill it up and eats like he hasn't seen food in days!

Wow, you're really lucky. My birds didn't acknowledge them being food at first. My cockatiel still doesn't. The tiny colorful zumreem pellets are little better!! :)
